Recitals

Salt Creek Music Teachers Association offers member’s students the opportunity to perform in recitals throughout the year. We usually offer four opportunities, 2 in Fall and 2 in the Winter-Spring season. Memorization of pieces is required.  Dress code is Sunday best.

SCMTA members may also send students to any of the Joint West Suburban Chapter’s student recitals. Ask your teacher for information about this.

Our annual themed Festival Recital is a highly anticipated event, with nearly 100 students participating each year. Festival Recital performers study a different genre or composer each year in preparation for the recital.  See:  Festival page for more information.

Deadline for application is two weeks before each recital.      Please go to the Forms page for an application form. Please contact the appropriate Recital Chair for more details.

Recitals are held at Garden Chapel, Christ Church, Oak Brook.
